Dear Investor,

It can be difficult to ascertain the sustainability measures undertaken by businesses you trust. We believe it is paramount to be an informed buyer of precious metals and investment assets, which is why ABC Bullion places an uncompromising focus on receiving and maintaining accreditations that assure you of our actionable sustainability measures. Therefore, please be assured that if you buy from ABC Bullion, you can trust you have Considerate® Precious Metals in your asset portfolio.

Through ABC Bullion’s sister company, ABC Refinery, we are accredited by a variety of leading, globally trusted accrediting institutions. Please continue reading to see how our accreditations ensure your precious metals are internationally tradeable:

The CME Group (COMEX)

Effective June 2020, ABC Refinery was accredited by the CME Group for its premier gold product, the COMEX "GC" gold futures contract. The accreditation means that ABC Refinery bars are added to the COMEX good delivery list of brands used to physically settle against the GC gold futures contract in New York.

In November 2021, ABC Refinery silver bars also received accreditation from the United States based CME Group and were accepted for settlement of COMEX ‘SI’ silver futures contract.

COMEX gold futures represent the world’s leading futures contract for gold prices and trading. The contract offers superior liquidity than any other gold market, trading the equivalent of nearly 27 million ounces daily.  The gold futures trade virtually around the clock, 23 hours per day, enabling the world to access the market at times that work best for their schedules in whatever time zone they may be situated.

LBMA

ABC Refinery is Australia’s only independent London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) accredited gold and silver refiner.

ABC Refinery’s appointment to this exclusive list is a testament to its ability to refine and produce gold & silver products to LBMA level, universally regarded as the highest international standard. LBMA accreditation is given only to companies that meet the Association’s stringent assaying and bar quality criteria, as well as its responsible gold and net tangible asset requirements.

SGE (Shanghai Gold Exchange)

ABC Refinery is Australia’s only independent Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) accredited gold refiner.

ABC Refinery’s appointment to this exclusive list of only seven foreign refineries is a testament to its ability to refine and produce gold products to a world-class standard and the technically stringent SGE requirements. Learn more at the SGE website.

NATA

The ABC Refinery laboratory is the only Australian refinery laboratory to have been awarded National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accreditation for:

  • the laboratory analysis of gold, silver and their alloys, compliant with ISO (International Organization for Standardization)
  • IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Standard 17025:2005 for the analysis of gold, silver and their alloys
  • being compliant with Australian Standards (AS) and ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation).

NATA accreditation gives ABC Refinery clients ultimate peace of mind because it is a guarantee of the consistency, accuracy and dependability of the metallurgical data relating to every ABC Refinery refining batch.

The 2021 Sustainability Report

Our annual Sustainability Report  describes our specific, widespread and actionable sustainability commitments, such as those regarding Modern Slavery, COVID-19 screening and risk management, stakeholder initiatives and our environmental measures.

Our Sustainability Report has numerous environmental details, such as the following:

“During the 2021 financial year, Pallion doubled the size of its Acidless Separation System (ALS) refining capacity and now boasts the largest such refining capacity in the world. Pallion was the first refiner in the southern hemisphere and remains the only Australian refiner to utilize the ALS in its refining processes. This system, developed in conjunction with IKOI, affects the separation of precious metals from other metals using heat and air pressure. As the name suggests, no acid is used in the process. It offers significant advantages to traditional refining techniques including inert refining emissions and significantly reduced refining time which in turn reduces energy consumption.”
